Inferit is a two-sided market for LLM inference. Buyers call one OpenAI-compatible API, and a router sends each request to the cheapest healthy seller. Prices are per token, charged per request in µ (0.000001 ITC on the testnet; a micro-dollar at mainnet, planned), under a ceiling the buyer sets.

## A market, priced by the request.

Sellers serve open-weight models from their own hardware, at their own price. The market is designed for sellers from GPU clouds to a Mac. Buyers keep their OpenAI client and change the base URL and the key.

Agents can pay per request with x402, with no account and no API key. Settlement is batched on Whitechain, WhiteBIT's EVM L2, through `MarketEscrow`, a contract owned by a 2-of-3 Safe. On testnet the founder holds all three signer keys. Anyone can check the figures on the [on-chain metrics](https://inferit.app/analytics).

## A testnet demo, stated plainly.

Inferit runs on Whitechain Sepolia. You pay for inference in ITC (Inferit Test Credit): our ITC faucet gives 1,000 ITC per address per 24 h, free, and the claim needs no gas. WBT, Whitechain's gas token, is needed only for transactions you send yourself; x402 agents need none. Neither token has monetary value. The contracts are not audited yet. All on-chain activity so far is our own test traffic.

Today there is one live model, Qwen 2.5 14B, and every seller is the team's own: the founder's Mac (while it is listed and online) and a clearly labelled demo seller that returns canned responses. [The models page](https://inferit.app/models) shows which offers are healthy now; [Security & trust](https://inferit.cc/docs/security-trust.md) lists what is and is not verified.

## Why a stamp.

A letter carries its own stamp. A request to Inferit carries its own tiny payment. So the mark is a stamp whose face is its price: **1 µ**, one millionth of an ITC on the testnet (a micro-dollar at mainnet, planned). The Steel stamp behind it is the rest of the sheet: one offer, torn from many.

Prices are written as a number, a thin space and the micro sign: 0.60 µ/token is 0.60 ITC per 1M tokens on the testnet, where 1 µ = 0.000001 ITC. 10 000 µ (0.01 ITC) is the smallest x402 payment, because each one is an on-chain transaction: it prepays the agent's balance, and each request is then charged its exact µ cost against it.

## An open-source x402 facilitator.

We published [whitechain-x402-facilitator](https://github.com/OGcryptonaut/whitechain-x402-facilitator), the first public x402 v2 facilitator for Whitechain, live on Whitechain Sepolia (testnet), under Apache-2.0. It is a separate project for other Whitechain merchants, and Inferit operates a public instance of it. Inferit's API settles its own x402 payments with its own x402 v2 facilitator, self-hosted and operated by Inferit. The market's code is private.

## Build notes, on the blog.

What shipped, what a request costs in µ, and what is not done yet, written by the founder. Posts live on [the blog](https://inferit.cc/blog.md), with an [RSS feed](https://inferit.cc/blog/rss.xml), and every post is also plain markdown for agents.
